| Project Description |
| Construction of the new 137-bed hospital for West Northumberland residents. The 210,000 sq. ft. facility replaced the current hospital which was built in 1908. The new construction provided 33 complex care beds, six new palliative care beds, 18 new rehabilitation beds, 55 acute-care beds, 11 sub-acute care beds, six intensive care unit beds and eight obstetrical beds. The Emergency Department has more than tripled in size, and the Ambulatory Care Unit expanded significantly. A new heliport is also located at the site. |
