Description

Located two stops north of Downsview at the intersection of Keele Street and Finch Avenue, the Finch West Station will become an integral part of the local community, linking subway, bus and eventually LRT traffic to better serve the Toronto transit passengers.

The Finch West Station Project includes the construction of an underground station (173.633 m in length) along Keele Street to the north of Finch Avenue West and cross-over (123.247m in length) to the south of Finch.  Also included are a pedestrian entrance, bus terminal, commuter parking lot, two station firefighter’s entrances and three vent shafts.  Once these structures are constructed, the project will finish with the re-instatement of Keele Street and Finch Avenue, including extensive landscaping and site revitalization.  The landscaping is continued to the roof of the bus terminal structure where a “green” roof will be installed as a sustainable building feature.
