The construction of the 104,000 sq. ft. Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning (CTEL) significantly changed the academic landscape at Georgian. Some of the most advanced and innovative thinking in learning ergonomics has gone into the planning of CTEL, resulting in a technology-enhanced environment that set new benchmarks for student-centred learning. The facility included 23 additional, multimedia enabled classrooms; "wired" student common areas; a 250-station open computer lab; and a new and expanded Learning Resource Centre with "knowledge hubs" dedicated to a number of academic disciplines.
