Description

The 4,500 sq. ft. Hybrid Operating Room Addition project at the Hamilton General Hospital (237 Barton Street East, Hamilton, ON) entails construction of a 3,000 sq. ft. one–story plus mechanical penthouse addition to the third floor of the existing Hospital and a further 1,500 sq. ft. of renovations within the fully operational surgical department.  The addition will be partially supported from existing building structure, to be reinforced as part of the project scope.  Provision of new air handling equipment is required.  Connection to existing heating and cooling infrastructure, medical gas, nurse call and fire alarm infrastructure is required.

The work will take place over the Hospital’s operational shipping and receiving department and will require close coordination with Hospital operations to minimize disruptions to material flows and deliveries.
